I’ve never used a travel agent before, why should i use one to help plan my destination wedding?

Travel agents are an invaluable source of information. We have been to, stayed at, or toured all the properties we recommend, and we have worked with hundreds of properties so we know which ones work best with groups or give the best discounts. Plus, it costs you and your guests nothing to work with us! If a hotel oversells and bumps one of your guests to another property, we are there to help keep that from happening. If your guests have questions about the location or property, we can answer those questions so you have one less thing to worry about. Anytime a guest needs to change their booking, they will call us, not you - and they change their bookings a lot!

Why shouldn’t i book my destination wedding group directly with the hotel?

Instead of asking why you shouldn’t book direct with the hotel, you should ask how it benefits you to book direct. (Hint: it doesn’t!). You should receive the same rates with us as you do with the hotel direct, so why not get the free added benefits of using a travel agent, too? Plus, there are some promos and concessions we offer that you cannot get from the hotel directly.

I always book “packages” on an online booking engine, it’s cheaper to do that. why should i use you instead?

Online booking websites have done a great job marketing that booking packages on their site is less expensive than other methods of booking because that is mostly a myth. Travel agents have access to discounts that you cannot get elsewhere - even for individual travel. Plus there are extra perks to using a travel agent that you won’t get when booking with a website like 24/7 service while in travel and a real, live person to call or e-mail for any assistance needed. Most of the time, our group rates are discounted and the packages are not cheaper.

Why should I use Barefoot Bridal instead of one of the bigger agencies i found online?

By being smaller, we add so much more value that you cannot get from bigger agencies, especially the personalized service. Every agent has been a destination wedding bride, we know exactly how it feels and what we would want in your shoes. There are some things we provide that other agencies don’t, like a custom website for your guests to book online with ease instead of calling and trying to reach someone to process a payment over the phone. If your guests want to call and speak to someone, there’s always someone available during our business hours for non-in-travel emergencies or they can email us and we will usually respond within the same day. You just won’t get that type of personalized service elsewhere.

My family wants us to use the family travel agent (or a local agent), why should we use you instead?

Destination wedding and group travel is not like individual bookings. You want an agent who is a destination wedding specialist so they’re familiar with all the ins-and-outs of the process, an expert in the contract process, and someone who sends hundreds of groups annually so that there’s leverage with the hotels. We admit we are not experts in everything, we wouldn’t suggest using us for a trip to Italy, but when it comes to destination weddings, elopements, romance, honeymoon and group travel, we’re your go to experts!

24 Hours at Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa: My Honest Review of This Luxury All-Inclusive Paradise

If you’re looking for a luxury all-inclusive escape with breathtaking beaches, incredible food, and top tier service, Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa might just be one of the best resorts in the Dominican Republic. Nestled inside the exclusive private community of Cap Cana and only about 15 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, this adults-only resort instantly feels like a dream the moment you arrive.

From the second we pulled up to the resort lobby, the experience felt luxurious. We were greeted with champagne and a cool wet cloth for our hands.. the kind of small detail that immediately sets the tone for your stay. Walking into the open air lobby and seeing the stunning turquoise water in the background honestly felt magical. The ocean was so bright and crystal clear that it almost looked fake. Without exaggeration, this was truly one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

I booked a Preferred Club room for my stay, so we were escorted to the private Preferred Club section for check-in, which made the experience feel even more elevated and personalized. While checking in, I decided to upgrade to an ocean view room because I’m an absolute sucker for a good view, and I’m so glad I did.

Since our upgraded room wasn’t ready yet, my friend and I changed into our swimsuits and immediately headed down to the beach. The beach at Secrets Cap Cana completely exceeded every expectation. The sand was soft and pristine, the water was the most unreal shade of turquoise, and the entire atmosphere felt peaceful and luxurious.

At the Preferred Club beach area, they had a taco station set up for lunch, and it ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip. We ordered skinny margaritas and fresh tacos, both of which were absolutely delicious. The beach service was truly A1. Our server brought everything directly to our chairs and even prepared the tacos for us right there. It felt so personalized and relaxing… exactly what you want from a luxury resort experience.

One thing I loved about the beach area was how many beautiful photo spots there were. From swings on the beach to swings in the water and even decorative motorcycles set up for pictures, every corner looked Instagram worthy. We spent a while taking photos because honestly, the scenery was just too gorgeous not to.

Once our room was finally ready, we headed upstairs and immediately fell in love with the view. We had both a pool view and an ocean view, and it was absolutely stunning. The room itself was spacious, modern, and comfortable with double beds and plenty of room to relax and unwind.

After getting ready for the evening, we made our way to the Preferred Club bar for cocktails before dinner. The atmosphere was elegant but still relaxed, which I really appreciated. That night, we had reservations for hibachi dinner… and wow. It ended up being some of the best hibachi we’ve ever had. The food was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked, and the experience itself was so much fun. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay.

After dinner, we spent some time walking around the property, taking in the beautiful grounds at night before heading to bed.

A little tropical routine…

The next morning, we started our day at the gym, which was surprisingly impressive. It was located in its own separate hut style building and was very spacious with plenty of equipment. I always appreciate when resorts put effort into their fitness spaces, and this one definitely did.

After our workout, we headed to the Preferred Club breakfast restaurant, which was fantastic. We kept it simple with fresh fruit and omelets, and everything tasted fresh and high quality. From there, we got ready for another few hours by the pool before sadly having to leave for our next resort.

Honestly, leaving Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa was hard. Everything from the food and drinks to the service and overall atmosphere exceeded my expectations. The grounds were immaculate, the rooms were beautiful, and the beach was genuinely one of the best I’ve ever experienced anywhere.

My overall review? Secrets Cap Cana absolutely lives up to the hype. If you want a luxury adults only all-inclusive resort with stunning beaches, incredible service, amazing food, and a relaxing upscale atmosphere, this resort is 100% worth considering. I would absolutely come back.
