Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of barefootbridal.com, any booking site we create for your group, and the travel services provided by Barefoot Travel, LLC, doing business as Barefoot Bridal ("Barefoot Bridal," "we," "us" or "our").

By using our website, submitting an inquiry, signing a room block contract, or booking travel through us, you agree to these Terms. If you are booking on behalf of others (for example, a couple booking for guests, or a guest booking for a travel companion), you confirm that you have their authority to do so and that they also agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Our Role as Your Travel Agent

Barefoot Bridal is a travel agency specializing in destination wedding travel and group room blocks. We act only as an agent for the independent suppliers who actually provide your travel, including resorts, hotels, tour operators, airlines, transfer companies, excursion providers and travel insurance companies ("Suppliers").
  • Suppliers set their own terms. Each Supplier's terms, including room block contracts, wedding contracts, payment schedules and cancellation policies, apply to your booking in addition to these Terms. Where a Supplier's terms conflict with these Terms on a Supplier matter, the Supplier's terms control.
  • We do not plan or run your wedding event. The resort's wedding department and any vendors you hire are responsible for the ceremony, reception, menus, decor, florals, entertainment, timeline and day-of execution. We may advise, communicate with the resort on your behalf and refer you to independent planners, but we are not an event planner or on-site coordinator unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • How we are paid. Our travel services are generally provided at no additional charge to couples and guests because Suppliers pay us commission. This does not make Supplier charges free: wedding packages, deposits, room rates, taxes, cancellation or change fees, transfers, insurance and optional add-ons are still payable. If we ever charge a service fee, we will tell you in advance and in writing.
  • Information we share. Descriptions, photos, rates, amenities and recommendations are based on information from Suppliers and our own experience at the time. Suppliers can change their facilities, policies and pricing, and we cannot guarantee that every detail remains accurate.

3. Bookings, Pricing and Payments
  • Rates are not guaranteed until confirmed. Quotes, proposals and group rates are subject to availability and may expire on the date the Supplier sets. A rate or room is only secured once the Supplier confirms it and any required deposit or contract has been received.
  • Room block contracts. The couple (or other group organizer) signs the room block contract directly with the resort and is responsible for its terms, including any block deposit, attrition, release and payment dates. We will explain the contract and track its deadlines, but the contract is between you and the resort.
  • Guest payments. Guests pay the deposit and balances shown on their invoice or booking site by the due dates stated. We may send reminders as a courtesy, but you remain responsible for paying on time. Late or missed payments may lead the Supplier to cancel your reservation, release your room or reprice it at current rates.
  • Authorization to charge. By providing a payment card, you authorize us and/or the Supplier to charge it for the amounts and on the schedule you agreed to, including automatic scheduled payments where applicable. Charges may appear from Barefoot Bridal, our payment processor or the Supplier directly.
  • Price changes. Prices may change before full payment because of Supplier price changes, taxes, government fees, fuel surcharges or currency fluctuations. Once your booking is paid in full, the price will only change if a government-imposed tax or fee changes or you change your booking.
  • Promotions. Promotions, including Barefoot Bridal deposit, cash back and flight credit offers, are subject to their specific eligibility rules, participating Suppliers and expiration dates, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time before you qualify.
  • Accuracy of information. You must provide names exactly as they appear on each traveler's passport or government ID, along with accurate contact and travel details. You are responsible for any costs resulting from inaccurate information.

4. Changes, Cancellations and Refunds
  • Supplier policies apply. Changes and cancellations are governed by the Supplier's policy for your specific booking, as shown on your proposal, contract, invoice or booking site. Many deposits and payments become non-refundable after certain dates.
  • How to request a change or cancellation. Requests must be made in writing to groups@barefootbridal.com. Your request takes effect when we receive it during business hours, not when it is sent.
  • Change fees. Name and occupancy changes are often free until the final balance date and may carry a fee afterward. Extensions and upgrades are subject to availability and the rates in effect at the time.
  • Refunds. Any refund depends on the Supplier's policy and is issued only once the Supplier releases the funds to us or to you. Refunds may take several weeks. We are not responsible for refunds a Supplier refuses or fails to pay, but we will advocate on your behalf.
  • Room block deposits. Where a couple pays a room block deposit, it is applied as set out in the resort contract. Any amount not applied to the couple's own reservation is handled according to that contract.
  • Cancellations by Suppliers. If a Supplier cancels or materially changes your booking, your remedies are those offered by the Supplier. We will help you understand your options and rebook where possible.
  • Complimentary rooms, concessions and cash back. These are earned under the terms of the resort contract or promotion, usually after the group travels and pays in full, and are paid when the Supplier releases them.

5. Travel Documents, Insurance and Health
  • Passports and entry requirements. Each traveler is responsible for having a valid passport, any required visas, tourist cards, entry forms and health documents, and for meeting the entry and exit rules of every country they visit or pass through. Many countries require passports to be valid for at least 6 months beyond travel. We may share general guidance, but official government sources control. Travelers denied boarding or entry are responsible for all resulting costs.
  • Travel insurance. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance. Coverage is provided by the insurance company under its own policy, not by Barefoot Bridal. Please read the policy for its benefits, exclusions and deadlines (including any "Cancel For Any Reason" purchase deadlines). If you decline insurance, you accept responsibility for any losses it might have covered.
  • Health and safety. You are responsible for your own health, medications, vaccinations and any accessibility or dietary needs. Please tell us about special requests in writing; we will pass them to the Supplier, but we cannot guarantee a Supplier will fulfill them. We recommend reviewing the U.S. State Department's travel advisories at travel.state.gov before booking and before you travel.
  • Flights. If we help you with flights, the airline's contract of carriage applies. Airlines may change schedules, and we are not responsible for delays, cancellations, missed connections or lost baggage. Please share your flight itineraries with us so any booked airport transfers can be arranged.

6. Wedding Groups: Couples and Guests

Couples and group organizers are responsible for:
  • the room block and wedding contracts they sign with the resort, including deposits, minimum stays, attrition and any on-site guest requirements;
  • decisions about their wedding event, which they make directly with the resort's wedding department and their own vendors;
  • sharing their booking site and deadlines with guests, and making sure guests book through the group so their rooms count toward the block.

Guests are responsible for booking and paying by the group's deadlines. After the resort's release date, unbooked rooms may be returned to the resort and group rates may no longer be available. Each guest's reservation is their own; the couple is not responsible for a guest's booking unless they have agreed to pay for it.

Bookings outside the block. Reservations made directly with a resort or through another website usually do not count toward the group's concessions, and we cannot service them.

Transfers and excursions we arrange are provided by independent Suppliers and are added to the traveler's invoice when booked.

7. Limitation of Liability

Suppliers are responsible for their services. Because we act only as an agent, Barefoot Bridal is not liable for the acts, errors, omissions, negligence, defaults or insolvency of any Supplier or its employees, or for any injury, illness, death, property loss or damage, delay or expense arising from Supplier services.

Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, including weather, hurricanes, sargassum and other natural conditions, natural disasters, epidemics and pandemics, government actions or travel restrictions, strikes, civil unrest, terrorism, airline schedule changes, or Supplier closures or renovations ("Force Majeure Events"). Weather and beach conditions can never be guaranteed.

Our limit. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to our services is limited to the commission we actually received on the booking in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, including lost enjoyment or wedding-related costs.

Indemnity. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Barefoot Bridal and its owners, employees and contractors from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your inaccurate information, or your conduct while traveling.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Website Use and Content
  • Permitted use. You may use our website and booking sites for personal, non-commercial purposes related to planning travel. You may not misuse them, including by attempting unauthorized access, scraping, or submitting false or fraudulent bookings.
  • Our content. Text, photos, graphics, logos and other content on our website belong to Barefoot Bridal or our licensors and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
  • Your content. If you send us photos, reviews or testimonials, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them on our website, social media and marketing, with your name or first name and initial. We will ask before featuring identifiable photos of you, and you may ask us to remove your content at any time.
  • Third-party links and tools. Our website links to third-party sites and tools (for example, resort websites, scheduling tools and social media). We are not responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.
  • Availability. We do not guarantee that our website or booking sites will always be available or error-free. If a price or detail is displayed in error, we may correct it before your booking is confirmed.

9. Disputes, Changes and Contact

Complaints. If something goes wrong, please tell us and the Supplier as soon as possible, ideally while you are still traveling, so it can be fixed on the spot. Written complaints should be sent within 30 days of your return.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in York County, South Carolina, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Seller of travel. California Seller of Travel Registration No. R-172237-PJ-526261. Registration as a seller of travel does not constitute approval by the State of California. Barefoot Bridal does not participate in the California Travel Consumer Restitution Fund. Florida Seller of Travel Reg. No. ST44931.

Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on our website with its "Last updated" date applies to bookings made after that date. Bookings already confirmed remain subject to the Terms in effect when they were made, unless the law requires otherwise.

Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
