1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Barefoot Travel, LLC, doing business as Barefoot Bridal ("Barefoot Bridal," "we," "us" or "our"), collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit barefootbridal.com, use a group booking site we create, or book travel with us.
It applies to couples, wedding guests, website visitors and anyone else who contacts us. By using our website or services, you acknowledge the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Inquiries and contact forms: name, email, phone number, wedding date and preferences, estimated guest count, destinations, budget, how you heard about us, and anything else you tell us.
- Bookings: each traveler's full legal name, date of birth, gender, citizenship, passport details where a Supplier requires them, mailing address, emergency contact, flight itineraries, room and occupancy preferences, and special requests (which may include dietary, medical or accessibility needs you choose to share).
- Payment information: card details and billing address. Card payments are processed through our booking and payment systems, our payment processors and Suppliers. We may keep card details and signed credit card authorization forms on file as needed to process the payments you authorize, and we protect them as described in Section 7.
- Communications: emails, texts, calls, scheduled calls and messages with our team.
- Mailing list: your email address and preferences when you join our list.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we and our partners collect device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages and approximate location, using cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see Section 5).
Information from others
We may receive information from a couple about their guests (for example, a guest list), from a guest booking for a travel companion, from Suppliers about your reservation, and from referral partners. If you give us information about another person, please make sure you have their permission.
3. How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries and recommend resorts, venues and packages.
- To request group rates, set up room blocks, create booking sites and make, manage and change reservations.
- To process payments, send invoices and payment reminders, and track deadlines.
- To arrange airport transfers, excursions, flights and travel insurance.
- To provide customer and in-travel support, and to advocate with Suppliers on your behalf.
- To keep couples informed about their group's bookings (see Section 4).
- To send newsletters, promotions and updates, where permitted (see Section 6).
- To run, secure and improve our website, and to measure and improve our advertising.
- To prevent fraud, meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described below.
- Suppliers: resorts, hotels, wedding departments, tour operators, airlines, transfer and excursion companies and travel insurers, as needed to provide the services you request. Suppliers use your information under their own privacy policies, and some are located outside the United States.
- The couple and group organizer: if you book as a wedding guest, we may share your name, booking status, room type, travel dates, arrival and departure details and payment status (not your card details) with the couple so they can plan their event and track their room block.
- Service providers: companies that help us run our business, such as booking and payment platforms, CRM and email providers, customer support tools, scheduling tools, texting services, website hosting, analytics and advertising partners. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our clients, our team or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, sale or transfer of all or part of our business.
- With your consent: for any other purpose you agree to.
5. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
Our website uses cookies, pixels and similar technologies to make the site work, understand how visitors use it, and show relevant ads on other sites and social media. These include Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel, and the TikTok Pixel.
These partners may collect information about your activity on our site and across other sites over time. Some U.S. state laws treat this kind of advertising as "sharing" or "targeted advertising." You can opt out of it as described in Section 8.
Your choices:
- Adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies (some site features may not work).
- Opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Manage ad preferences in your Google, Meta and TikTok account settings, or at optout.aboutads.info.
- We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of targeted advertising where required by law. [Confirm your site is set up to do this.]
6. Emails and Text Messages
- Marketing emails. If you join our mailing list or have booked with us, we may send newsletters and promotions. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Text messages. If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your inquiry, booking, payments and travel. By providing your number, you agree to receive these messages. We will only send marketing texts if you have separately agreed to receive them. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
- Mobile information. We do not sell or share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- Service messages. Even if you opt out of marketing, we will still send messages needed to manage your booking, such as payment reminders and travel updates.
7. Data Retention and Security
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services, stay in touch with you, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete it or keep it in a form that no longer identifies you.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, and we limit access to team members and service providers who need it. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please never send full card numbers or passport images by regular email; use your booking site or ask us for a secure method.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have about you and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information, subject to legal and booking-related exceptions;
- opt out of targeted advertising and the "sharing" of personal information for that purpose;
- limit the use of sensitive personal information, such as health information or passport details, to what is needed for your booking;
- appeal our decision on your request.
These rights apply to residents of California and other states with consumer privacy laws, and we are happy to consider requests from anyone. To make a request, email groups@barefootbridal.com with the subject "Privacy Request" or call (866) 822-7336. We will verify your identity before acting on your request, and you may use an authorized agent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents. In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in Section 2 (identifiers, commercial and travel information, internet activity, approximate location, and sensitive information you choose to share) for the purposes in Section 3, and disclosed them to the recipients in Section 4. We do not sell personal information for money. We "share" internet activity with advertising partners for targeted advertising, which you can opt out of as described above. We do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.
Nevada residents may submit a request to opt out of the sale of personal information, although we do not currently sell personal information.
9. Children, International Travel, Changes and Contact
Children. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them online. We collect information about minors traveling in a group only from a parent or guardian, and only as needed for their booking.
International transfers. We are based in the United States, and some of our team members and many of our Suppliers are located in other countries, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic and other destinations. Your information will be transferred to and processed in those countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Changes to this policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date and, where changes are significant, let you know by email or on our website.
