Barefoot Bride Amanda’s Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres/ TRS Coral Wedding Venue Overview

When doing a site visit at the resort we chose for our wedding we were lucky enough to be accompanied by the wedding team and presented the many choices for wedding venues. Here I will provide feedback on the ones that stood out to us.

My fiance Vincent and I originally picked this venue to hold our reception. This is the Posidon 2nd floor, a beautiful indoor location surrounded by glass walls that give you a gorgeous beach view. We loved this option, as it is weather-proof, stunning, and still provides a view. Unfortunately, we realized we would likely have more guests than this venue can accommodate (~100 people) and decided to switch.

The Village Deck is an option for both ceremony and reception. We initially picked this venue to hold our ceremony. This location is noted to be central to the “town” area of the resort, which becomes populated at later hours but is often desolate during the day. This makes it a great spot to have an earlier ceremony. It is a picturesque location with the lake in the back, resulting in beautiful photos.

The location we chose for our ceremony is the Convention Center Glassroom. We loved this location from the moment we saw it, and appreciated the retreat from the heat that will likely occur for a ceremony that is earlier in the day. It provides stunning glass windows behind where most people set up alter, and has more than enough space for however many guests end up attending our wedding.

For our ceremony, we chose the Convention Center Plaza. We love this location, as it is surrounded by palm trees and provides a blank canvas that allows for complete customization of our reception. We saw many weddings here on the Facebook group for weddings at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres/ TRS Coral and were happy with how this space holds guests. There is access to the restroom right in the Convention Center, which is also a plus. We were also very happy that our guests only have to find their way to one location, as the resort is large and this prevents guests from getting lost.

Below the Posidon 2nd floor is the 1st floor of Poseidon known as the Poseidon Terrace, which is another reception location. This location is beautiful with dark wood floors and a dark wood-covered ceiling that is also a great weather-proof selection. This venue gives you a refreshing breeze as it is located outdoors and close to the ocean. This venue was not suitable for us, as it can accommodate smaller groups (60-80 people).

The beach deck is a location that can be used for ceremony and cocktail hour. It is rather private, and close to the beach without being on the beach. This location isn’t as large as we likely need, so we decided against it. However, it is a perfect location for those who don’t want to be in the sand, but still wish to be outdoors.

We chose the Convention Center Lobby for our cocktail hour, which we didn’t know was an option until we did our site visit. This room is also stunning, with unique bulb light fixtures scattered upon the ceiling. It also has access to glass windows and is the perfect retreat from the heat.

As mentioned, this resort is large and there are many other locations that I didn’t elaborate on. Just to name a few, there is the Gravity Terrace (adults-only), Fizz Pool, Aurum Terrace (adults-only), White Terrace, Costa Mujeres Theater, Ballroom, Beach, and more.

One of the big selling points of this resort for us was the endless options of locations to hold events. The venues are all stunning and unique, and provide a great experience for hosting. We are so excited to celebrate with all of our loved ones at this location!
