The Tulum Day Party You Didn’t Know You Needed by Diana

If you’re planning a girls’ trip, a wellness retreat, or a bachelorette party in Tulum, let me put you onto something GOOD… because this was hands down one of the most fun days of our entire trip.

We spent a full day at Mia Beach Club, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s the perfect mix of chill + party + aesthetic.

How We Booked (Super Easy)

Everything was done through WhatsApp, which I actually loved because it felt quick and personal.

Here’s how it worked:

• You message them directly
• They ask for:
  • Your name
  • Number of guests
  • Date you want to go
• Then they send you package options

There are typically two options:

• A minimum consumption option (more flexible)
• A package option (what I chose)

The Package We Did (And Why It Was Worth It)

We went with the package, which was about $100 per person, and honestly… such a good value for what you get.

What our package included:

• Welcome drink (mezcal or tequila shot)
• Lunch (you choose from options like):
  • Angus burger
  • Vegetarian burger
  • Green fish ceviche
• 3 hour open bar
  (Mojitos, margaritas, palomas, vodka drinks, beer, etc.)
• Access to:
  • Beach beds
  • Pool
  • Lounge areas

*Minimum was 6 people for the package.

The Vibe (This Is Where It Shines)

We had 17 girls and it was EVERYTHING.

• Not overly crowded… felt VIP without paying VIP prices
• We got to choose our area
• Had a table to sit, drink, eat, and hang
• Music + DJ all day (11am–7pm)
• Pool right there if you get too hot (which… you will)

It’s one of those places where you can:
Chill, sip your cocktails, take cute pics, and then randomly be dancing 5 minutes 

Beach vs Pool Reality Check 

Let’s be real for a second…

When we went, the beach wasn’t really swimmable because of sargassum (super common in Tulum depending on the time of year).

BUT, the pool saved the day and the overall vibe still made it 100% worth it

If you go during a better season, you’ll likely get that full beach experience too.

Extra Details (Translated + Helpful Info)

Here’s some additional info they shared with me:

• Minimum consumption option: about $1,400 MXN (~$80 USD) per person, applied toward food & drinks
• Towels:
  • Bring your own OR rent for ~$80 pesos
• Hours:
  • Open daily 11 AM – 7 PM
• DJ:
  • Playing daily during those hours
• Kids:
  • Under 12 don’t have a minimum spend
• Pet-friendly 
• Valet parking available
• Reservation required (15-minute grace period)

Transportation (What We Did)

We arranged transportation separately:

• Picked up at our hotel
• Dropped off at the beach club
• Brought back after

We stayed at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya, and it was about 40–50 minutes away depending on traffic.

Totally doable for a day trip.
