My Honest Review of Garza Blanca Cancun by Sharon

Warning: Garza Blanca Cancun will ruin other all inclusive resorts for you. If your definition of a fantastic stay includes exceptional food and drinks, outstanding service, beautiful pools, and a gorgeous beach, this is hands down the best family friendly all inclusive I’ve experienced.

Garza Blanca Cancun is located in Costa Mujeres, which means you fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). Costa Mujeres is known for wider beaches, calmer water, and a more relaxed, upscale feel compared to the Hotel Zone. Isla Mujeres sits just offshore and acts as a natural barrier, which helps protect this area from heavy sargassum and keeps the water that beautiful Caribbean blue.

The resort makes a statement from the moment you arrive. It feels luxe, glamorous, and like it was made for celebrities. Everything felt polished, intentional, and elevated. I stayed here for 2 nights in January 2026 and right away it felt absolutely worth the price. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and the service started strong from the moment we arrived.

This is not a casual, flip flops and buffet kind of resort. It feels refined, upscale, and like it was designed for guests who care deeply about quality, aesthetics, and experience. The overall vibe is pretty laid back, but there were a few partiers in the earlier hours of the night, celebrating a birthday.

The beach is beautiful, large, and clean with gorgeous Caribbean blue water and soft, white, powdery sand. Being located in Costa Mujeres means Isla Mujeres helps act as a natural barrier to sargassum, helping to keep the beach clean and the color a beautiful turquoise blue.

The pool vibe is mostly laid back and the pools are beautiful and plentiful. There is a small splash pad and kiddie pool, as it is a family friendly resort, but it isn’t overly run by kids. One thing they are proud of is the fact that they ensure there are sufficient pool chairs for every single person at the resort, even if they are at max capacity. That’s a standout point all on its own.

The rooms are gorgeous and spacious, with high-end finishes and thoughtful amenities throughout. Everything felt clean and well maintained. The bed was extremely comfortable, with a firm mattress and a soft, fluffy comforter that felt like being enveloped in a cloud.

The bathroom alone deserves its own moment: the toilets are fancy, heated, self-cleaning, and include a bidet, which honestly felt very on brand for the level of luxury here.

The shower was really nice with a rainfall showerhead plus a handheld sprayer with excellent water pressure and the best part: L’Occitane bath products. Very impressive.

The mini bar was stocked with great products and authentic Mexican snacks, not the usual generic options. The balcony hammocks were a fantastic touch, extra large and super comfortable. I didn’t want to get up from mine!

The hotel’s U-shaped layout means every room has a beautiful ocean view, which is a huge win. Their 3-bedroom suites are fantastic and would be incredible for bridal parties getting ready together. While I personally didn’t love the room color palette, everything else about the rooms more than made up for it.

The food was outstanding. Not just good for an all inclusive, but genuinely high end and gourmet. It was some of the best food I’ve had at any all inclusive resort. There were maybe 1 or 2 dishes total during the stay that we didn’t love, but the quality, freshness, and flavor across the board were excellent. Even the buffet was amazing! The selection was great and the food delicious.

The drinks were just as impressive. One standout was a lavender lemonade at the lobby bar that was so good it felt like something you’d order at a high end cocktail lounge in NYC.

We loved the rooftop restaurant for our lunches, enjoying their fresh ceviche, nachos, and chips and guacamole. On our first night, we ate at Blanco Blue, their Mexican restaurant, which was absolutely delicious. The baja tacos were a favorite and Juan deserves his own shoutout for his outstanding service. He truly went above and beyond for us. For our second night, we enjoyed Kabuki and the dumplings and salmon appetizer were absolutely amazing.

Kabuki was a real shock from a pricing standpoint. A $600 meal for 5 women with only 3 alcoholic drinks total is objectively wild. That said, this is exactly why I would never recommend doing Garza Blanca on a European Plan. We were luckily on the all inclusive plan. You do still check out after every meal, even on the all inclusive plan, which took a little getting used to since it meant you couldn’t just get up and go (a definite perk to an all inclusive), but the check does get zeroed out and the upside is that you never need to carry cash because tips can be added every time you check out and billed to the room.

The service throughout the resort was truly next level. Every single person we interacted with seemed to genuinely love their job. It felt both like they wanted to be there and wanted to make sure we had an amazing experience.

We also visited the spa and it was one of the best massages I’ve had. The hydrotherapy circuit was fantastic and the ocean views made the experience even better.

Garza Blanca Cancun is perfect for the high-end bride or traveler who is a foodie, cares deeply about guest experience, and wants everyone to feel like a celebrity during their stay.

I am dying to go back and cannot wait to return. Next time, I would love to stay at Hotel Mousai, the adults-only sister property on the same grounds.
