Our Site Tour of Paradisus Palma Real by Mikaela Rivera
Planning a destination wedding involves making many decisions, and one of the biggest is selecting the perfect resort for your room block. During our site tours in the Dominican Republic, we initially stayed at Dreams Royal Beach, but we didn’t love it for our wedding. Thankfully, with the help of Sharon, our amazing Barefoot Bridal travel agent, we were able to secure a last-minute site tour of Paradisus Palma Real. I’m so glad we did because this resort checked all the boxes for us!
A Truly Stunning Property
From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were struck by the beauty of Paradisus Palma Real. The architecture and landscaping were simply breathtaking, with lush greenery, elegant pathways, and gorgeous water features. The resort boasts an impressive number of pools, providing plenty of options for guests to relax or have fun. The beach was equally stunning, with pristine sands and turquoise waters that instantly transported us to paradise.
Rooms That Deliver What They Promise
One of our biggest concerns when touring resorts was ensuring the rooms looked as they did on the website. At Paradisus Palma Real, we were thrilled to find that the rooms lived up to every expectation. They were modern, spacious, and luxurious, exactly as pictured online. This was especially important to us after our previous experience at Dreams Royal Beach, where the rooms fell short of what was advertised. Knowing our guests will be comfortable in such stunning accommodations gave us great peace of mind. Not to mention the pricing of the rooms, of course subject to our own opinion, were very reasonable and within the range we wanted for our guests!
Food and Drink Reviews That Excite
Although we weren’t able to sample the food or drinks during our site tour, we’ve heard excellent reviews from past guests. Many people rave about the variety and quality of the dining options at Paradisus Palma Real, which made us confident in the experience our wedding guests would have. While we can’t speak from personal experience yet, we’re optimistic that the culinary offerings will live up to their reputation.
Finding the Right Fit for Your Wedding
Choosing a resort for a destination wedding is deeply personal, and everyone has different opinions and standards. While one couple may adore a particular resort, it might not feel right for another, and that’s okay. Ultimately, your focus should be on finding a place that makes the bride and groom happy. After all, it’s your special day and weekend! Paradisus Palma Real felt like the perfect fit for us, and we’re excited to share this beautiful experience with our loved ones in February 2025.
