Barefoot Bride Rachel’s Review of Secrets Royal Beach
For our wedding at Jellyfish Restaurant on April 20, 2024, in Punta Cana, we had 76 guests come down. We had about half stay at Secrets Royal Beach and half at Dreams Royal Beach (right next door to each other). Secrets was adults only and more expensive.
The resorts were about a 20 minute drive from Punta Cana airport. Our guests were able to walk back and forth between them pretty easily and hang out at the different pools/swim up bars/portions of the beach on each side. We only had 2 kids under 18 years old coming to our wedding, but as long as you were over 18 years old there really wasn't any issue walking between resorts. However, you were not able to eat at the Secrets restaurants if you had booked a Dreams room.
We ate at restaurants on both sides and found them to both be really good. We didn’t notice a difference in the food quality between each resort. The resorts were only a 7 min drive to Jellyfish. They were super clean, the pools and beaches were beautiful, we walked along the beach and these two resorts by far had the prettiest beaches with the least seaweed in the area. The water was crystal blue with small waves and a comfortable temperature (which of course depends on the time of year).
All of our guests had so much fun, the food was good, and there were areas where you could party (near the swim up bars, beaches), but also areas where you could just relax (near some of the cabanas) so there were areas for everyone. Anyone over 18 was allowed at the casino, sports bar and night clubs on Secrets, they were all fun to hang out with everyone pre and post wedding. They had karaoke in the sports bar which a bunch of people in our group took part in 2 nights before the wedding, it was so fun and a great chance for people to get to mingle and meet each other. All of the staff were so kind and helpful with everything we needed.
This was one of the best all inclusive resorts we have ever stayed at!
Love,
Barefoot Bride, Rachel
